Meet Tiffany, MA, cmhc / Founder and CEO of mindful counseling / Womens mind body & food specialist
Tiffany Roe is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, teacher, speaker, thought leader, podcaster, & the owner of Mindful Counseling in Orem, Utah. She passionately helps her clients remember they are enough. Tiffany has focused her career on treatment for women navigating poor relationships with themselves, their bodies, and food. She loves helping women navigate full recovery from eating disorders, disordered eating, poor body image, anxiety, spirituality, faith transitions, self-esteem, and low self-worth. She feels called to help women find their purpose, calling and true self-worth. Tiffany believes you can love yourself, your mind, your body, and your relationship with food!
She attended Argosy University where she graduated with honors and received her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2011. She received her Bachelor degree in Sociology from Brigham Young University in 2008. Tiffany is an award-winning teacher & speaker. She taught psychology courses in the Behavioral Sciences Department for Utah Valley University from 2012-2017. Tiffany regularly speaks for community events, workshops, and retreats.
Tiffany is on a mission to banish mental health stigma and has revolutionized therapy culture by teaching on social media, throwing mental health dance parties, and creating mental health merchandise including the original Therapy Is Cool shirt. Tiffany has lived experience with mental illness and has been fully-recovered from an eating disorder for over 12 years. She believes in bashing stigma through transparency, opening up the dialogue about mental illness, and is she dedicated to changing the mental health game.
She is the founder and CEO of Mindful Counseling and launched the Mindful Counseling Mental Health Studio which offers services for total healing in addition to talk therapy. The Mindful Counseling Mental Health Studio offers mental health trauma sensitive yoga, guided meditation, drop-in community meditation space, somatic movement therapy, nutrition therapy, medication management, health at every size and intuitive eating informed movement groups, sound baths, music and art groups, classes, workshops, and “thereoke” (therapeutic karaoke).
In counseling, Tiffany utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and believes a holistic treatment approach supports total resolution and healing. Tiffany is working towards her Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor Certification in 2019. meet Joe, MA, cmhc / Trauma, EMDR specialist
Joe is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with specialized training in the treatment of trauma and its many expressions, from substance abuse to behavioral addictions. He has been practicing in Utah since 2012 and utilizes revolutionary approaches to provide his clients with new, empowering, and refreshing experiences in counseling. Joe loves working with teens and adults.
His Master degree in Mental Health Counseling was gained from Argosy University in which he graduated summa cum laude, and his Bachelor degree was earned from Westminster College in Clinical Psychology. Joe has also studied meditation and mindfulness for over a decade in traditional Tibetan forms as well as modernized clinical variations. He is a featured speaker with the international author coaching organization, Calliope, and frequently provides meditative groups for various addiction rehab centers across Utah.
Joe blends unique meditative practices and philosophy with highly sought after techniques such as EMDR, Brain-spotting, dream analysis, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy to create insightful, inspired, and lasting impacts with his clients.
Meet emily, MA, CSW / CBT and DBT specialist
Emily is a Certified Social Worker who seeks to help anyone experiencing eating disorders, body image, poor relationships with food, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression find peace. She believes everyone can learn to accept and find peace in their own body, and that health can be found at every size. She loves helping women love themselves. She believes in fighting diet culture and finding peace in your body
She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University, graduating cum laude. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University.
Emily utilizes a strength based approach that centers each client as the expert of their own lives, with the resiliency to improve it. She utilizes primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy.
meet Meagan, MA, Csw / cbt and dbt specialist
Meagan is a Certified Social Worker driven to help anyone who is struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, poor body image, unhealthy relationships with food, faith-based transitions, or trauma-related issues. She truly believes that anyone can learn how to reject unhelpful thoughts, overcome challenges, and find peace and meaning in their life. Meagan is passionate about speaking out against diet culture. She enjoys helping individuals love themselves for who they are and is invested in helping them overcome insecurities and discover their true purpose. She strongly believes that her role as a therapist is to assist and support her clients to feel empowered and uses a strength-based, client-centered approach to therapy.
She attended Utah Valley University where she obtained her Master degree in Social Work, graduating magna cum laude, and her Bachelor degree in Behavioral Science. Meagan enjoys working with adolescents and adults. She is passionate about mindfulness practices and mainly uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy to help her clients achieve their goals.
