Meet us for somatic movement therapy in a group or 1:1 setting.

Somatic Movement at its heart is about the felt experience of the mover, meaning it is about what you feel, not what you look like! The movement we do is simple, though not always easy, as it takes awareness. In these classes you will learn not only how to reconnect with your body and feel whole, but also about how the ways you move reflect how you feel about yourself and your place in the world.

This class is for anyone who can move in basic ways (sit, stand, walk, lay on the floor) who is wanting to not only reconnect with their bodies, but also to develop more trust and confidence in their whole selves. Your body can be your greatest teacher. We will end class with a guided meditation and relaxation much like a yoga class. Bring a journal and a pen to class with you and dress to move.

Meet Sarah Godfrey, RSMT, CLMA

Sarah is a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist (RSMT), Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst (CLMA), yoga teacher, and podcaster. Sarah believes that all people have their own inner light (innate goodness and strength) and that trust in that light can get them through whatever life sends their way. 

Sarah's love for movement led her to become certified in movement analysis through internationally-known Integrated Movement Studies, which then led to her becoming a somatic movement therapist (RSMT) through the International Somatic

Movement Education and Therapy Association. She is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. Sarah also received her Bachelors of Arts in Dance from Brigham Young University, which is where she first found that movement was a critical piece in her own healing journey. 

For over ten years Sarah has taught movement in yoga studios, rehabs, and at Utah Valley University. She uses her unique knowledge, life experiences, and a whole lot of heart to change how people think about their bodies and themselves. In these private sessions, the emphasis is still on the felt experience of the mover (YOU!), but you will get personalized, hands-on attention with a caring and experienced teacher. Personalized sessions can support the work you are doing in your life, as we delve into your unique, felt, embodied experience. Movement will be based entirely upon your individual needs. Learn to trust your body (aka yourself!), and move in ways that assist you in your healing journey. Bring a journal and a pen with you and dress to move.
